Quality Assurance

Overview

Technology had not advanced much when Aristotle said, “Quality is not an act, it is a habit”! The success of any organization is based on the quality of its products or services. The Quality Assurance team is tasked with the responsibilities of ensuring that the product / service that goes to customers is free from defects. Quality auditing is the systematic examination of an organization’s quality management processes. A quality audit is typically carried out by an internal or external quality auditor or audit team.

Quality audit is a verification effort intended at evaluating the degree of conformance to meet a standard specification or procedure of the product, design, process, or system. The quality audit has two components: one is the analysis of the system within which the items of product or service are brought into being and is called the quality system audit. The other one is an analysis of the items themselves, which is called product or service quality audit.

Audits are usually conducted at agreed time intervals, ensuring that an organization has a clearly defined system for quality monitoring. They can also help determine whether an organization is compliant with the requirements of a specific quality system.

Needless to say, Quality Assurance teams in organizations need to be equipped with applications that help in diligent planning and timely execution of audits. The solution should also enable creation of audit non-compliances / observations and seamless allocation of these to owners who can track the NCs and observation to resolution and later to closure.

Iqxora Audit Management Application includes below modules:

Audit Planning

  • Enables audit admin to plan audits for a financial year. The audit plan is prepared at the start of a year and becomes a record after it is internally approved.
  • Audit owners are notified about upcoming audits from the approved audit plan.

Audit Schedule

  • Allows audit owners to assign audit inspectors (or auditors) for an approved audit. Auditors reach out to the auditee for scheduling audits and these get registered in the system.

Tracking Observations

  • NCs and Observations from audits get assigned to the auditee. The Auditee would then re-assign these to individual task-owners.
  • Task owners track the audit NC or observation to a resolved status.
  • Resolved NCs / Observations are once again verified by the auditor before these can be moved to “closure” state.

Analytics

  • Audit owners, auditors & auditees get a summary view on the status as well as history of audits and the respective observations.
